About the Artist Alison Kolesar

Alison grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland, but moved to the U.S. at the age of 25. She now lives in a beautiful college town in rural western Massachusetts.

Alison has been drawing and painting ever since she can remember, but took degrees in History and Art History before making art her career. Alison loves painting people, animals and the natural world, using both traditional materials like watercolor, gouache, and collage, and digital tools. Alison enjoy’s both illustrating to enhance a story and creating designs to decorate clothing and objects. Colour makes me happy!
