About the Artist Angela Rozelaar
Angie Rozelaar is an illustrator, artist, author and designer based near St-Lô in Normandy, France, where she lives with my family and an ever growing menagerie of cats, donkeys and hens. As a picture book illustrator and author Angela has worked with publishers in the UK, US and France to create many children’s picture books titles that have been translated into different language as co-editions around the world.
Angela tries to bring a childlike sense of playfulness and a joyful and anarchic spirit to her work. Gouache and crayons are my favourite medium, but she also loves working with inks and watercolour. When Angela has finished making a mess in her studio, she scans, collages and edits her images digitally.
