Bridge Score Pad – Romance
The Simon Lucas Bridge Score Pad – Romance – is a very smart score pad. Containing 50 double-sided score cards choose between rubber bridge or chicago score cards or plain score cards for whist or scrabble. Firstly, we print our score cards on quality card. Then we make them into a pad with a back board to lean on and cover to keep them clean. A pad keeps the score cards neat and tidy. Furthermore, the score sheets don’t get tatty as they aren’t loose. The cover is beautifully designed by British designer Kate Knight and will brighten up your bridge table! Overprinted with gold ink, this is an exceptionally smart design.
The score cards are made from quality card so you can either give each player their own pad or a single score card. Alternatively, you can put the score cards into our score card holders. Moreover, each bridge score pad – Romance – contains 50 double-sided score cards, which is 100 games per pad.
The score cards measure approximately W8.2 x L19.4cm.
Kate Knight
This is what young Scottish designer Kate Knight says about herself and her work:
“I’m always striving to produce the perfect piece of art. It helps keep my designs fresh, and in turn means my portfolio is always evolving.
My biggest inspiration was my Gran. She was a real character. I have lots of happy childhood memories of the time we spent painting together. In the beginning I thought we were both creating masterpieces, a fact she was always happy to confirm. When I found out the truth it didn’t matter though, because by then I was already hooked.
For as long as I can remember all I wanted to be was an artist. I studied art at school and went on to do an Honours degree at Duncan of Jordanstone Art College in Dundee, Scotland. Whilst I was at Dundee I studied printed textiles and enjoyed the physical aspect of creating both artwork and product. However, after graduating I wanted to explore other avenues. I swapped my brush, canvas and paints for a drawing tablet and a computer, and enrolled at Heriot Watt University. There I did a Masters degree in computer aided textile design at a campus that was once known as the Scottish College of Textiles in Galashiels, the second oldest textile institution in the world. I loved the flexibility I gained from being able to adjust designs and colours so easily. Honing these skills in such hallowed halls was such an honour.
Following the completion of my Masters, I decided to move back to my home town of Edinburgh and set up my own wee design studio. My business flourished and grew from strength to strength.
Early in 2015 I moved to Manchester, England, to be with my fiancé. I now have a studio space in the Manchester Craft and Design Centre in the “Northern Quarter.””
