Custom Poker Size Playing Cards

Our new custom Poker size playing card are a printing service, giving you the option to have your very own design, specific to your club, business or personal use, printed onto the backs of playing cards. Simply put, you can have your own custom designed playing cards in short print-run quantities. The cards, printed in England, are good quality and are suitable for serious card players. With the backs being fully customisable with your own wording, logo, design or photographs, the custom poker size playing cards have a multitude of uses, such as corporate gifting, sales promotions, wedding favours, hen and stag parties, in addition to regular use.

Custom Playing Cards

We have a small minimum order of just 20 decks total with price breaks at 50 decks, 100 decks and 200 decks. The prices all include a choice of board stock, full colour CMYK printing, and 15 minutes of studio time to layout your artwork ready for print (increasing to 30 minutes studio time for orders that include the printed tuck boxes option). The faces are standard English playing cards, and are 4 index (ie 1 standard-size pip in each corner, suitable for left- and right-handed players).

The cards will be supplied as a standard poker playing card size of 63 x 88mm.

What Are My Options?

Boardstock Choices You can choose between smooth or textured boardstock. The smooth boardstock is 310gsm, and the textured is 320gsm. The textured boardstock has a debossed texture creating an air-cushion between the cards, which is good for shuffling and dealing. The smooth boardstock is a better choice for more detailed designs, which can get partially lost on textured boardstock.
Full Colour Printing Full colour printing means that you can have a highly coloured card printed in a combination of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (known as CMYK these four colours are combined to make all the colours of the rainbow). For an additional cost you have the choice of CMYK plus either a gold or silver “metallic” ink. Please note, metallic ink has a slight sheen to it, but not the highly reflective surface of foil. It’s great for accentuating details such as text or elements of a design.
Tuckboxes/Packaging Printed tuckboxes can be supplied at an additional cost, and we include an extra 15 minutes of studio time in order to lay up the extra artwork. Cellowrapping of the decks is included with the larger quantities. Smaller quantities may be supplied as loose decks in plain white tuckboxes, or might be paper banded.
Studio Time Your artwork will need to be made “press ready” and this will take a bit of time to do. 15 minutes is included in the price (30 minutes for orders that include packaging), but a further hour can be purchased as an add on if you don’t have print-ready artwork and need our help to create a simple design.

How Do I Order

Simply fill out the sections and add the product to the basket. The quantity you’d like is selected first (20 decks, 50 decks, etc.). Once you have paid, we will email you from a special email address (during office hours), which you will then be able to use to send us your design idea, or custom artwork, such as a logo or any other image you would like to have on the backs of the cards.

The Production Process

Firstly, place your order and email your design (or a description of what you’d like) as detailed above. Next, our design team will work together with you until the design has been finalised. The price includes 15 minutes of our time and you have the option of purchasing an additional 30 minutes if you need extra help. On the rare occasion that further design time is needed, we can invoice for it separately. When the design is finished, we’ll email a printing proof to you for your approval – you’ll need to check this over carefully and let us know whether you’re happy for the job to go into production. Next comes the exciting bit… production! Your cards are lovingly printed, shaped and packaged, then posted to you for you to enjoy using!

Lead Time

The lead time is usually 2-3 weeks but can be longer at busy times of the year. Quality takes time 🙂
